Selected Fonts of 2025 in the TDC Competition
The Type Directors Club (TDC) is one of the most prestigious global events in the field of type design and typography. Established in 1953, the competition aims to showcase outstanding typographic works from around the world.
At the 71st edition of the competition, held in 2025, several works by type designers from our website NoonFont received the Certificate of Typographic Excellence, a distinguished recognition awarded by TDC.
The selected works in the Type Design category include:
Mahal and Edameh fonts (designed by Nasser Khadem), Gofteh font (designed by Alireza Nematollahi), and Shekanj font (designed by Amirmehdi Moslehi).
In the TDC competition, each jury member selects a work they personally find inspiring. These selected works are given special attention and are featured and analyzed in exhibitions and in The World’s Best Typography book.
Jury Member at the 71st TDC Competition
Sahar Afshar, a type designer and founder of Dogray Type Foundry in London, served as the Head of the Type Design Jury at the 71st annual TDC competition. With expertise in Persian and Arabic type design and a research background in the history of printing, she has played a significant role in contemporary typography and type design.

In addition to receiving the Certificate of Typographic Excellence, the Mahal font was also selected as a Jury Pick by Omaima Dajani, a member of the TDC jury. This is a special honor awarded to only a limited number of works each year.
Type designers featured on NoonFont, through creative and thoughtful approaches, continue to make a strong and influential presence on the global stage of type design and typography.
