Daftar
Freshly old letters!
Graphic designers, web and digital designers, publishers, the press, set designers, artists, and all those who work with Persian fonts often face a shortage of typefaces that evoke a vintage or nostalgic mood.
For this reason, whenever there’s a need to convey an old-fashioned feeling through typography, we usually have to either give up on the idea or make do by tweaking existing fonts just to get the job done!

Daftar Arabic!
With the inclusion of diacritics and certain special ligatures, the Daftar Font is capable of supporting texts written in the Arabic language.

English Typeface
The English typeface chosen to accompany Daftar has been carefully modified, through the addition of texture, erosion, and adjustments in form, to closely resemble its Persian counterpart. This ensures that in bilingual texts, both scripts share a consistent tone and visual harmony.

Symbols
While typing, you can enhance the visual appeal of your design by using the symbols included in the Daftar Font character set.
These symbols can be manually inserted into your text through the Glyphs panel.

Daftar typeface was reconstructed, refined, and produced in 2017 at Daftar Studio under the supervision of Majid Kashani. A large number of old newspapers, books, magazines, and advertisements were used as sources to extract the letters and ligatures.
This font was first released for a limited time on the Iranian Organ Donation website, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting patients in need of organ transplants.
