Gramophone

Implementation of a Multi-Master system based on three masters: Thin, Regular, and Fat
Gramophone 3 includes ten weights, two dot styles, and a variable font version. The weight structure is built upon three master designs to enable more precise control over form behavior and interpolation quality in the intermediate weights.

Practical alternate letters
By enabling the ss01: Simplified Forms feature, some letters are simplified, giving the font a more minimal appearance.

By activating Stylistic Sets 2 - 6, the second and third forms of heh, swash kaf, reversed yeh, as well as the alternate forms of isolated and final meem can be used.

By activating Stylistic Sets 7, Arabic and Latin numerals are converted to Persian numerals.
The custom Toman and Rial symbols are enabled via Stylistic Set 8, while the Saudi Riyal and UAE Dirham symbols are activated through Stylistic Set 9.

Enabling the Tabular Lining feature in OpenType gives you access to tabular numerals. These numerals all have the same width, making them ideal for tables, price lists, or any numeric columns that require precise alignment.

Gramophone 3 supports Persian, English, Arabic, Kurdish, and Urdu languages. For the Latin script, the open‑source Aleo font has been used, with shared modifications applied to the details of all characters.

New decorative shapes have been added to the font for filling typographic spaces, which are activated by inserting the ‘asterisk’ and ‘hamza’ characters.

The previous version of this font, which had four styles, has been updated and is available in the font pack.
