What’s New in Ravi Font Version 2.5?
1. Characters for several Persian and Arabic sub-languages were designed, and now the font supports the following languages: Persian, Arabic, Luri, Turkish, Kurdish, Urdu, Jawi, Pegon, Balochi, Pashto, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Tajik, Swahili, Kyrgyz, Uyghur, Kazakh, and English.

2. Custom symbols for Rial, Toman, Saudi Riyal, and Dirham were designed.


3. 10 new currency symbols were designed. The font now covers a total of 17 currencies and is usable in 75 countries. These include: Toman, Rial, Saudi Riyal, Dirham, Afghani (؋), $, €, ¢, £, ¥, ₿, ƒ, ₺, ₹, ₨, ₼, ₸.

4. All character shapes have been reviewed and refined.


5. The size, thickness, and placement of the Hamza (ء) were revised.

6. The weights were reviewed and harmonized, also weight coordinates in Variable font have been corrected and synced with the standards.

7. With Stylistic Set 4 activated, vertical alignment of punctuation marks like ؟ ! ٪ ؍ ٬ ٫ / \ ⁄ ' # () {} [] | ¦ is harmonized with the letters.

8. The spacing between words in English was increased for better readability.

9. The form of "الله" was corrected.
10. Fixed the diacritic issue with “لله” and “الله.” Now, only the final letter “ـه” takes the diacritic.

11. The Tilde "~" symbol has been added to the font.

12. Fixed the misplacement of dots in ligatures containing “ێ”.

13. The “Kaf DotAbove” character for Jawi language, were corrected. “ك” replaced with “ک”.

14. Thickness and positioning of Underline and Strikethrough lines have been adjusted.
15. Kerning for Arabic and Persian numerals has been removed due to platform inconsistencies and rendering issues.
