Darbareh
In search of new proportions while preserving the basic features of Persian calligraphy, the first sketches of the "Darbareh" font were formed in 2022. Gradually, the proportions and features were changed until early 2025 when the Extralight weight was completed and then the remaining weights were designed.

Varible Font
The "Darbareh" font is presented as a Varible Font, which, in addition to providing access to weights intermediate between the standard weights, makes all weights available in the form of a single font file.

Alternative letters and Ligatures
To provide variety in writing style and readability, alternates for some letters and several binary Ligatures have been specified.
In the "Darbareh" font, alternates have been designed for a number of letters. These alternate letters are in the Stylistic Alternates category, which are also available as Stylistic Sets (Set01, Set02, Set03).
Also, the stretched (alternative) form of the letters "ک", "س", "ي" and several other letters are in the Swash category.
Binary Ligatures ending in the letters "ي", "ر" and "ن" are available as Standard Ligatures.
Also, alternate binary combinations not ending in the letters "ي", "ر" and "ن" and the symbols for Rial and Toman are available as Discretionary Ligatures.
To learn how to enable these replacements in Adobe software and Microsoft Word, as well as on the web, read the font's "Darbareh" manual - included in the download package.
