Paykan
Paykan font is inspired by the Naskh script and exudes a confident and audacious character.
The Paykan font stands out for its unique and distinctive qualities, characterized by sudden changes in direction and pronounced variations in thickness. It has a skeletal structure full of smooth lines, and its form is filled with sharp and piercing shapes that can cause some 'harmless chaos' wherever it is used!
'Paykan' means arrow in Persian, and it was the name of one of the most popular cars in Iran in the 1960s and 1970s.
Paykan is suitable for use in short texts and attention-grabbing headlines that require immediate engagement from the audience. This typeface can be employed in designs related to fashion and luxury brands. Additionally, due to its style, it is also suitable for imported products.
Reza BakhtiariFard's design of the Paykan font drew its main influence from the Shafiq font.
Shafiq's boldness and endearing flair fueled the Paykan font designer's eagerness to craft a font with a similar ambiance but with even more pronounced exaggerations. For the Latin script, the open-source Newsreader typeface was utilized, with adjustments made to the proportions and thicknesses.
